چکیده
Myrcia tomentosa, popularly known as “guava-brava”, belongs to the Myrtaceae family, widely used in folk medicine treat various diseases. There already are studies proving effectiveness of several its components. However, there few specific articles on biological potential M. tomentosa compounds. The aim this study was evaluate antineoplastic activity from tomentosa. For these, we performed silico analysis pharmacological and toxicological activities, besides interaction between molecules with human targets redocking analysis. Our results showed that α-cadinol highest score molecule 11 compounds present screening Among possible actions, cytochrome P450 19 A1 were found. This related breast cancer is main target drugs cancer’s treatment. Therefore, believe should be considered future vitro vivo assays against cancer.

This work describes the isolation and structural elucidation of compounds from the leaves of Myrcia tomentosa (Aubl.) DC. (goiaba-brava) and evaluates the antimicrobial activity of the crude extract, fractions and isolated compounds against bacteria and fungi. Column chromatography was used to fractionate and purify the extract of the M. tomentosa leaves and the chemical structures of the compo...
متن کاملAntioxidant activity and phenolic content of leaf infusions of Myrtaceae species from Cerrado (Brazilian Savanna).
AbstractThere is considerable interest in identifying new antioxidants from plant materials. Several studies have emphasized the antioxidant activity of species belonging to the Myrtaceae family. However, there are few reports on these species from the Cerrado (Brazilian savanna). In this study, the antioxidant activity and phenolic content of 12 native Myrtaceae species from the Cerrado were e...
متن کاملPhytotoxic effects of aqueous leaf extracts of four Myrtaceae species on three weeds
Research on allelopathic interactions can be useful in the search for phytotoxins produced by plants that may be employed as natural herbicides. The aim of this study was to assess the phytotoxic action of aqueous leaf extract of Blepharocalyx salicifolius, Myrcia multiflora, Myrcia splendens and Myrcia tomentosa on the germination and development of three weeds. The working hypothesis was that...

متن کاملConstituents and Pharmacological Activities of Myrcia (Myrtaceae): A Review of an Aromatic and Medicinal Group of Plants
Myrcia is one of the largest genera of the economically important family Myrtaceae. Some of the species are used in folk medicine, such as a group known as "pedra-hume-caá" or "pedra-ume-caá" or "insulina vegetal" (insulin plant) that it is used for the treatment of diabetes. The species are an important source of essential oils, and most of the chemical studies on Myrcia describe the chemical ...
